Over the last thirty-two years the Design Management Institute has literally built the foundation of the design management profession. DMI is an independent, non-profit organization with members and constituents, education, and research programs around the globe. From this independent position, DMI works with a variety of institutions and organizations to help design managers become leaders in their profession, and business managers utilize design for business success.

 

DMI is committed to assisting its members and constituents in making intelligent, effective decisions through our interactive education and research programs. Sponsors play a very important role in this process through their contributions of funds, in-kind services, and expertise. Relationships with sponsors are based on core DMI values and objectives in three areas: First, the continued pursuit in helping design managers become leaders in their profession; second, the creation of programs fostering educational experiences free from political and economic agendas; and third, embracing educational and advocacy initiatives on a global basis.
