Corporate Core Values and Brand Integrity

The 13th International Corporate/Brand Identity Conference

June 10-12, 2001

Montréal, Canada

Overview

Brand/Corporate Identity ConferenceCore values, community and integrity are words that represent key concepts underlying powerful corporate/brand identities on the forefront of world economies. A new depth of understanding and empathy with all facets of customer relationships is necessary to build effective identities/brands. Never before have the “details” been asked to do so much in support of corporate/brand identity. These details are infused in the flow of information inside and outside the organization, providing a powerful platform for strong expression. As design managers shape all of the experiences provided by the product or service to the customer and thus the identity/brand itself, they are building relationships with the organization’s core values and character. When these relationships are carefully mapped with integrity, the organization has a unique corporate identity/brand. This conference will examine the critical imperatives for achieving this goal.

Lynn B. Upshaw, keynote speaker for this conference, is the lead author of the seminal book The Masterbrand Mandate, and will deliver a presentation discussing the necessity of living the brand in today’s fast moving society. Scott Davis, managing partner, Prophet and author of Brand Asset Management, will provide further analysis, using examples from well-known organizations and brands to illustrate the importance of using brand asset management as a key component of corporate strategy.

These presentations will be followed by case studies on the new BP brand strategy, the repositioning of Pampers and HP brands, and the Brazilian Claro Digital brand. Also featured are presentations on strategic corporate branding, finding the corporate soul, and brand backlash.
