| Leonard Glick |
Dr. Leonard J. Glick (Ed.D.) has extensive business, consulting,
and teaching experience in employee, management, and organizational
development. Since 1994 he has been a full-time faculty member in
the College of Business Administration of Northeastern University,
where he teaches Organizational Behavior, Designing Effective Organizations,
Great Companies, and Competitive Human Resource Practices. His primary
interests are in fostering organizational cultures and practices
that promote learning and performance.
Dr. Glick has worked with a wide range of employees and managers
in many industries. For 14 years, he was an organizational effectiveness
consultant for a leading high technology company where he consulted
on the design and implementation of “high commitment work
systems”—organizations where employees are highly motivated
to achieve outstanding results. He also pioneered creative, work-based
methods to help managers develop employees from their work as they
worked. Recent consulting engagements include: leadership development
for top managers in a manufacturing plant, supervisory training
in “building successful teams” and providing “useful
feedback”, an “action learning” program for high
potential leaders in the pharmaceutical industry, and a project
to increase the skill and sensitivity of information technology
consultants to the human side of organizational change.
